So long, Sew Kitschy!

My Finished Sew Kitschy BoM!

Well, another sewing year has just flown by!  All nine paper pieced  "Sew Kitschy " blocks are completed.

Here's a look at the blocks....

And here are my nine completed blocks....

I added a few details ...

I embroidered " Susie's Cookies  2014 " on the cookie jar  (by machine)-

I put two little red buttons on the drawers in Betty's kitchen-

I used aqua polka dotted fabric for the back, and used a decorative stitch to sew a label to the backing.

I like the aqua and white binding...

One of my favorite blocks... the teapot

I really love this bowl and spoon block, too!

I used 2 command hooks (3M) to hang the wallhanging on my sunroom wall....

It is hanging  beside last year's BoM,   And Sew On  -

I can't wait to see what Kristy is designing for next year's  BoM !

I'm off to my sewing room!

  3. I always said you were the queen on paper-piecing and this just goes to prove it.
If I had to pick a favourite it would be the mixing bowl and spoon block, though I too love the teapot block.

  4. Susie, I just love how it turned out! Both projects look great hanging together. What good memories they must bring about whenever you look at them, not just of doing the BoM, but of the moments in your life they represent. Way to go!!

    1. Jeneta... if you even got to make one of each, then you got to have some fun in the Sew Alongs! Maybe you have saved the patterns and will get to make one or more someday into a little project!

  11. That turned out great what a paper piecer you are. I love how you have them available to gush over as you make other things. The fabrics are so refreshing too, totally retro!!
